Still funny after all these years

Even though it’s off the air, old re-runs of the office are still guaranteed to cause laughter

The Office is a show that will keep viewers lying on the edge of their bed contemplating if they should watch just one more episode before they call it a night. The show is an entertaining, comedic, tear jerking, and touching experience and when you finally watch the last episode in season nine you already begin to miss the quirky little family in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

The Office is one of the best workplace sitcoms that has so many viewers that are able to relate to the day-to-day nonsense. The Office takes place at a small branch of a paper company, known as Dunder Mifflin, in Pennsylvania. It first aired on March 24, 2005 and sadly ended on May 16, 2013 after nine great seasons.

The characters in the show live their lives in almost what some consider purgatory. They seem to work every day at Dunder Mifflin in hopes of finding something better but at times they are given the opportunity for greater things yet they deny it to stay with their second family at their job. Sometimes the reason for not leaving is an intimate relationship with a coworker that leaves viewers saying “Oh my god what is next.” That is the truly special thing about The Office, you feel like the characters are real and you begin to fall into their world and their problems and accomplishments soon seem to feel like yours.

I have watched The Office a number of times and I still find myself laughing and becoming emotional with every episode I watch. In my opinion, there has not been another show similar to the office that has had the same effect on me. It is truly one of a kind and the spin-offs that derived from the show are far from the original.
