Getting in the Holiday Spirit – Our ranking of the best Christmas movies

Our No. 1 Christmas movie is the Will Ferrell movie

Our No. 1 Christmas movie is the Will Ferrell movie “Elf.”

There are many things that people look forward at this time of the year. On top of Christmas music, Holiday shopping and getting together with loved ones, Christmas Movies are also one of the things that people love getting together for.

Christmas Movies bring a sense of togetherness among families and friends and get you into the Christmas spirit.

So, with that being said, here are my top five Christmas movies that I enjoy watching around Christmas time and that I would definitely recommend to others.

5.) The Santa Clause Movies (Parts 1, 2, and 3.) I ranked these movies number 5 because although these movies are classics, they don’t spread the Christmas cheer as much as my other top 4 movies do.

4.) Polar Express. This movie brings me back to my childhood when the teachers would give you a cup of hot cocoa and you would watch this movie. I love the meaning behind this movie because Christmas is all about “believing” in the magic and getting into the Christmas spirit and this movie is a prime example of that.

3.) How The Grinch Stole Christmas ( The Jim Carey Version.) I do not like the cartoon version. How The Grinch Stole Christmas is another classic but it has such a good storyline to it and I love how it exemplifies the true meaning of Christmas and it’s funny too.

2.) Eloise at Christmastime. I love Eloise’s character and I love how she helps two people fall in love. It’s such a cute movie. Definitely one of my favorites, but it doesn’t compare to what comes in at No. 1.

1.) Elf. I could watch this movie a million times and never get sick of it. Not only does it get you into the Christmas spirit but it also is hilarious and Will Ferrell does an excellent job playing Buddy The Elf. This is a feel-good movie for sure and it definitely gets you into the Christmas spirit. If you have the time to watch these movies, I would definitely recommend taking the time to, they are worth it.
